Miss Christine has been dancing since she was 9 years old, training first at a local dance studio, and then continuing training at the acclaimed Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan. Miss Christine has choreographed many award-winning routines regionally & nationally. Her choreography has been showcased at Madison Square Garden, the Prudential Center, 6 Flags Great Adventure, Radio City Music Hall, and Walt Disney World. She served for many years as Director & Choreographer of the HCJ Teen Drama Group, and served as a guest choreographer for the St. Joseph's College Dance Team, among many other organizations, schools, and summer programs. Miss Christine has trained in multiple styles, including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Pointe, Funk Jazz, African, Modern, and Salsa, but her absolute favorite is Musical Theatre. She is certified in Progressive Ballet Technique^TM and LaBlast Fitness. Miss Christine loves to be a storyteller, and all her choreography truly comes from her heart.

Miss Sue is the "magic maker" at Spotlight! With a vast imagination, sharp attention to detail, abundant creativity and perseverance, Miss Sue is the mastermind behind costuming, props, and scenery for our performances.
She manages the studio office, and keeps Spotlight running like a well-oiled machine. She refers to Spotlight dancers as her "Dance babies," because she deeply cares for all SDF dancers, and loves watching them learn and grow.

Miss Arlene went from #1 Fan to Dance Mom to staff. With her vast computer and technology skills, Miss Arlene was a trailblazer for our team when our Studio had to be recreated online in Spring 2020. With a warm smile and a friendly disposition, Miss Arlene provides superior customer service. She is patient and kind, always happy to serve our wonderful dance families, and to support our entire staff. We are so happy to have her on our team!

Miss Jaida has been dancing since she was 2 years old. She has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical and contemporary. Miss Jaida has trained at Spotlight and other NYC studios for many years. She also has extensive experience as a competitive dancer. Miss Jaida currently attends Queens College, working on a double major in Education and Dance. In the future, she hopes to work with special needs children and develop a dance program geared to their specific needs. Miss Jaida is looking forward to working with all of your children and helping them become the best dancers they can be!!

Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap, Hip Hop
Miss Ariel has been dancing since she was 2 years old and began dancing on the competitive level since she was 6. She then went on to dance at the collegiate level as a co-captain of the Queens College Dance Team and has since returned to her alma mater as a guest choreographer. Miss Ariel is trained in jazz, tap, hip hop, ballet, lyrical, and contemporary, and her choreography has been awarded numerous accolades in competition in her nearly 10 years of teaching. In addition to her dance experience, Miss Ariel also has a bachelors degree in exercise science. This experience with kinesiology and injury prevention methods takes a front row seat in Miss Ariel’s classes, allowing her students to not only explore movement artistically, but most importantly to do so safely. When she isn’t at Spotlight, Miss Ariel also serves as the choreographer for the HCJ Teen Drama Group.
